On Friday, November
26th, Bob and Roseann Aeschliman got some news that no business
owner wants. Their business was on fire. In 20 hours,
years of hard work was reduced to ashes. While the cause of
the fire is still under investigation, early reports indicate that
the fire was the result of an unattended wood-burning stove, housed
in an adjoining business. Sixty firefighters were called out
to fight the three-alarm fire, at times frustrated by problems with
water pressure. Despite their best efforts, the building was a
total loss.
With the fire now
out, Blast Factory turns its attention to rebuilding its business.
Temporarily housed in a trailer, located across from the site of the
old facility, Blast Factory will re-open the doors to its pro-shop
on Friday, December 10th. Once the insurance company completes
its investigation, the folks at Blast Factory will begin the search
for a more permanent location, hopefully re-opening a new paintball
field.
In an effort to help
the Blast Factory get back on its feet, the ICC is encouraging
everyone to make a trip up to their temporary location. Help
them out by making a purchase, no matter how small. No doubt
you have a piece of equipment (lenses, pants, etc) that is in need
of repair or replacement. Your patronage will help to ensure
that the Blast Factory remains an active part of Indiana paintball.
