If you're a
first-time visitor to this site, allow me to take a moment to welcome
you to the site.
The Indiana
Captains Council was formed in the fall of 1996 by the captains of
several Indiana paintball teams. The goal of the council was
to create a player-run organization designed to promote tournament
paintball throughout the state of Indiana. This is accomplished
through the hosting of a 5-man tournament series held at various fields
throughout the state.
Here you will find a wealth of resources, all
pertaining to paintball within the state of Indiana. This site is
geared for all types of paintball players, not just tournament
paintball. A wealth of information can be found within these
pages.
Looking for a new field
to try out? Check out the Field Listings
for the most complete listing of Indiana paintball fields. Need
more paintball gear? Find a store local to you in the Store
Listings section.
Interested in attending a
rookie, novice, or amateur tournament? Events all over the state
are listed in the State Tourneys Listing.
section. Not only will you find out the dates of the tournament,
but also the entry fee, whether the event is BYOP, when the registration
deadline is, and who to contact for more information.
If you're looking to
contact other players, be sure to check out the ICC
Message Board. With a membership of more than 1400 players,
this message board is the single biggest resource for Indiana paintball
information. We have forums for 'rec Players and tournament
players alike.
The ICC isn't just open
to Indiana players, all players are welcome. In fact, many teams
from Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and Illinois make the trip to
participate in the ICC 5-man Series. The ICC
5-man Series is geared for both novice and amateur players.
Last year, the ICC 5-man Series averaged 44 teams across 6 events,
making it one of the largest series of it's type in the country!
If you're new to
tournament paintball, our ICC Rookie Series
might be for you. These series, held at fields throughout the state, are
geared toward players who have not participated in any tournaments prior
to January 1st of the calendar year. This ensures that new players
will have an opportunity to try tournament paintball without having to
worry about getting "rolled" by a more experienced team.
As you can see, the ICC
has a wide variety of programs to offer all levels of players. I
encourage you to take a look around and feel free to ask any questions
that you might have.

ICC Mission Statement
The Indiana
Captains Council (ICC) is a player-run organization whose purpose is to
promote the sport of paintball within Indiana. The ICC also seeks to
involve paintball businesses in the growth of the ICC and paintball as a
whole.
Strategic Intent
-
To raise public
awareness of paintball and create a positive image of the sport to
all entities who come in contact with it.
-
To become an integral
part of the success of paintball within the state of Indiana.
-
To develop and document
a business model which can be used to start similar player-run
organizations in other states.
Our Vision
The ICC is structured to
give the players a voice in how the league operates. By functioning in
this manner, the ICC ensures that the league is always working to the
benefit of the players, as well as the paintball community in general.
The ICC also believes that by working with paintball businesses we will
be able to develop a relationship that will help to accelerate the
growth of paintball. Through this relationship, the ICC seeks to gain
promotional support from local, national, and international paintball
businesses. In return, the ICC offers promotional support and knowledge
sharing.
Our Competitive Advantage
The ICC’s competitive
advantage comes from its strength as a player-run organization. The ICC
is able to respond quickly and appropriately to the needs and wants of
the paintball player community as a direct result of its structuring as
a player-run organization. Further, the ICC’s philosophy of collecting
and distributing ongoing feedback between the players and businesses
involved with the ICC help us to accurately identify wants and needs of
the entire paintball community.
The Culture We Strive For
Above all, the ICC works to
promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among the members of the league.
We believe that these qualities are critical to the long-term, enduring
success of the league and paintball in general. Further, we wish to
foster a relationship that will bind the paintball players and
businesses into working toward common goals.
The Winning Outcome
We believe that the end
result of this mission statement will be a stronger, larger paintball
community and that paintball will be viewed positively by those who do
not play the sport of paintball.
