The Indiana Captains Council
is a league like no other. We are a league committed to promoting
the sport of paintball. We feel that we have a responsibility to
paintball that goes beyond simply running a tournament series. We
realize that a positive presence within our communities will help our
sport grow by educating new and potential players. Because of
this, the ICC has undertaken several projects designed to raise public
awareness of paintball in Indiana.
We've held safety
seminars in conjunction with the Carmel Parks and Recreation
Department. These safety seminars have been opened to area
sporting goods and retail stores, in hopes of educating employees about
proper safety equipment.
Our members have worked
with local newspapers and TV stations in generating positive press for
paintball. We've worked with WFYI, the local Public Broadcasting
Station to produce a seven-minute segment about the Indiana Captains
Council on a TV show called Across Indiana. The producers
of the show were so impressed with the piece, they've approached us
about doing a 30 or 60 minute show that would be uploaded to the
national PBS network and would be available to all PBS
stations.
The ICC has acted as a
voice for Indiana paintballers and spoken publicly about paintball
safety whenever paintball equipment have been used in an unsafe or
improper manner. Our Community Relations Officer contacts
prosecutors and police departments whenever paintball equipment has been
used in a criminal manner.

Launched at the 2001 World Cup tournament, the ICC's Bunker
Sponsorship program has enabled the ICC to purchase an airball field
and trailer. By sponsoring an airball bunker, your company
will play a key role in helping paintball grow in Indiana.
